YOUR
FIRST
VISIT

So you have decided we are the office for you! We cannot wait to meet you!
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. In doing so, our team can make sure we are providing you with the recommendations and treatments that you need for your complete oral health and goals. We are committed to ensuring our patients are informed, respected, and understood.

What you can expect

Your initial appointment with Westmor Dental will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
  • Your referral slip and any X-rays within the past 6 months if applicable
  • A list of medications you are presently taking
  • If you have medical or dental insurance, please bring the necessary completed forms

This will help us to help you process any claims in a timely manner.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.

We are excited to welcome you into our office and our dental family!

X-Rays

If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office in Morinville. However, any new presenting conditions and emergency treatments often require new radiographs to better help us with your diagnosis. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility in Morinville with our state-of-the-art radiograph equipment.

Fees

Please be advised that Westmor Dental is a fee-for-service provider that follows the 2018 Alberta Dental Fee Guide. While all fees are due at the time of the appointment, our team is happy to assist you by filing your dental claim electronically so that you can be reimbursed by your insurance company as quickly as possible.

We accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Insurance

The fees charged for services rendered to those who are insured are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly while others delay payment for several months.
